The establishment of a Palestinian state is the key to resolving the conflict in the Middle East, Russian President Vladimir Putin said, adding that Moscow’s position on the Palestinian-Israeli settlement has never been self-serving, APA reports citing TASS.
"There have never been any self-interest, intrigues and ‘double bottom’ in our approaches to the situation in the Middle East, unlike the West," Putin noted during the meeting on the situation in Dagestan.
"We have stated and we state our position openly, it does not change every year: the key to resolving this conflict lies in establishment of a sovereign, independent, fully-fledged Palestinian state," Putin noted.
