The epicenter of the aftershocks was located 9 kilometers north of Spitak, while the focus of the earthquake is at a depth of 10 kilometers.
The magnitude was 3.2. The aftershocks in the epicenter area were 4 magnitude.
The underground tremors were felt with a strength of 4-6 magnitude in Lori, Tavush, and Shirak districts, and 2-4 magnitude in Kotayk, Gegharkunik, and Aragatsotn districts. There is no information about damage or casualties.

A 5.1 magnitude earthquake has occurred in Armenia, the Georgian National Seismic Monitoring Center released information, APA’s Tbilisi correspondent reports.
According to initial information, the epicenter of the earthquake was in Armenia, 45 kilometers from the Georgian border, and it was registered at 09:26 Tbilisi time. Strong underground tremors were also felt in Georgia.

A 4.6 magnitude earthquake has occured near the city of Spitak, Armenia, the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia released information, APA reports citing Sputnik Armenia.
Note that the earthquake was registered by the seismic protection service 6 kilometers northeast of Spitak at 09:26 on March 8.
Recall that on December 7, 1988, a 7-magnitude earthquake struck the city of Spitak in northern Armenia.
