The death toll from a military transport aircraft crash in Crimea has reached 30, Russia’s Investigative Committee said, APA’s Moscow bureau reports.
According to the Committee, a criminal case has been launched over the crash of the An-26 aircraft, noting that there were seven crew members and 23 passengers on board.
Earlier, the Ministry of Defense had reported the deaths of six crew members and 23 passengers.
On the evening of March 31, contact was lost with the Russian Defense Ministry’s An-26 military transport aircraft in the airspace over Crimea. It was later reported that the aircraft crashed into a rock and went down.
