The Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) pursues a defence policy and has no plans to send troops to Afghanistan, said Secretary General of CSTO Stanislav Zas in “Mir 24” TV, APA’s Moscow bureau reports.
“It is completely baseless concern. The CSTO is an exceptionally defence military-political organization. The organization can only appy defence power within the framework of the zones that CSTO is responsible,” said S. Zas in his response wheter CSTO will send troops to Afghanistan.
