A man wounded four police officers with a hunting rifle in Crimea, Russia’s Investigative Committee stated, APA’s Russia bureau reports.
It was stated that on March 16, police officers went to the home of a 49-year-old resident in the village of Stefanovka as part of an investigation. The man refused to let the officers into his house and opened fire on them several times with a hunting rifle. He then set his car on fire using a Molotov cocktail and attempted to set his house on fire as well.
As a result of a reinforced operation involving the police, the Russian National Guard, and a Special Purpose Police Unit, the armed individual was neutralized.
Investigators are preparing to bring charges against him.
