Access to all beaches and coastal areas in Russia’s Sochi has been temporarily restricted due to the threat of attacks by unmanned boats from the sea, Sochi Mayor Andrei Proshunin stated, APA reports.
According to him, a threat involving the use of unmanned boats has been declared in the city, and the city’s operational headquarters decided to restrict access to beaches and coastal areas for security purposes.
“Rescuers and security personnel are warning about the possible threat through loudspeakers. I ask city residents and guests of the resort to observe precautionary measures,” the mayor said.
It should be noted that on September 9, people were injured as a result of an attack by unmanned maritime vehicles on the coast in Sochi.
