CIS leaders to hold a meeting on Dec. 25

An informal meeting of CIS leaders will take place on December 25, Assistant to the President of the Russian Federation, Yuri Ushakov, said, APA’s Moscow correspondent reports.

He spoke about President Putin’s program in St. Petersburg, stating that the meetings will be held in the Leningrad region at the Igora resort complex. On the evening of December 24, Putin will receive Tajikistan's President Emomali Rahmon.

The Russian President will summarize Russia’s chairmanship of the CIS, after which the leaders will have an opportunity for informal discussions. No documents are planned to be signed during the meeting.

Ushakov also noted that on December 26, Putin will participate in the Supreme Eurasian Council meeting chaired by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
