Brussels has informed Moscow of its intention to reduce the number of staff at Russia’s mission to the European Union to 40 people, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said, APA’s Moscow bureau reports.
“I can confirm that the European External Action Service has informed Moscow about the allegedly adopted decision to reduce the staff of Russia’s Permanent Mission to the EU and Euratom in Brussels to 40 people. This quota includes both diplomats and administrative and technical staff,” Zakharova said.
The Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson added that Moscow views this measure as discriminatory and that all these actions will not go unanswered.
