According to the document regarding the mission’s mandate, structure, and duration of activity, the mission, which is expected to begin operations in the coming months, should strengthen Armenia’s resilience to hybrid threats by providing strategic and practical advice, as well as supporting ministries and institutions operating in the field of security.

Note that the EU’s first mission arrived in Armenia in February 2023 and conducts patrols in Armenia’s border regions with Azerbaijan. It is expected to remain in Armenia until February 19, 2027.
