Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko announced on Wednesday that he intends to run for another term in the upcoming presidential elections, scheduled for January 26, 2025, APA reports.
The Belarusian head of state revealed his decision in an interview with Russian journalist Olga Skabeyeva on the sidelines of the BRICS summit in Kazan.
Lukashenko has been Belarus' head of state since 1994, which makes him the longest-serving president in Europe.
