A bear has attacked people in Russia's Sakhalin region, APA’s Russia bureau reports.
The incident resulted in both fatalities and injuries.
According to the Main Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations for the Sakhalin region, the number of dead and injured is currently being clarified. The agency confirmed that one person has died.
Local media in Sakhalin reported that a bear attacked a group of men near the "Three Deer" monument in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, killing two people and injuring two others.
