Yerevan has reached an agreement with Baku to supply liquefied natural gas and bitumen from Russia via railway through the territory of Azerbaijan, Armenian Economy Minister Gevork Papoyan wrote on his social media account, APA reports.
Earlier, against the backdrop of a shortage of liquefied gas due to logistical problems via Iran and Georgia, there were reports that the Armenian government had decided to import liquefied gas from Russia via Azerbaijan.
Later, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev announced that Armenia had appealed to Azerbaijan regarding the transit of cargo from Russia.
