The Prosecutor General’s Office of Armenia has filed an appeal against the change of the preventive measure applied to Samvel Karapetyan, president of the Tashir Group, APA reports, citing Newsarmenia and the company’s lawyer Aram Vardevanyan.
The Prosecutor General’s Office submitted an application on the matter to the Investigative Committee on January 5.
According to the lawyer, the prosecution is demanding that Karapetyan be re-arrested.
Note that on December 30, 2025, the detention measure applied to him was changed and replaced with house arrest in exchange for bail.
