Armenian Speaker calls for discussion on banning Russian TV channels

"Those who claim that recent events in Armenia are affecting Armenia-Russia relations have likely been watching their own degenerate TV hosts. Indeed, the rhetoric of these degenerate presenters is damaging Armenia-Russia relations," said Armenian Parliament Speaker Alen Simonyan, APA reports.

He noted that the Speaker of the Federation Council of Russia, Valentina Matviyenko, had an excellent visit to Armenia.

“I don’t know — have these presenters who reportedly receive $30,000–50,000 monthly from Samvel Karapetyan or others suddenly become defenders? Let them mind their own business and stay out of our country’s internal affairs. They are irritating not just to me but to citizens of the Republic of Armenia as well. Once again, I say: let them shut up and leave. I believe that, as a result of all this, we must seriously consider suspending the broadcast of Russian TV channels in Armenia. The shows of these mindless mankurts and monkeys have long been banned in Armenia, and their entry into the country is prohibited. But if state-owned Russian TV channels interfere in Armenia’s internal affairs, we must at least react and block their access to our homes. Because even when we shut down the shows of these degenerates, they still spread fragments through other programs, irritating the Armenian people. Either they must stop interfering in Armenia’s domestic matters, or — in my personal opinion — this issue must be resolved. As for Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, his counterpart has already responded, and I have nothing more to add,” Simonyan emphasized.
