Security forces in Armenia are conducting a search at the central office of the Tashir company, TASS reported, citing opposition deputy Vardanyan, APA reports.
Security forces have begun searching the central office of Tashir, belonging to the arrested businessman Samvel Karapetyan.
Note that the Armenian Police have also started searches at the residence of Samvel Karapetyan, the head of the Tashir Group of Companies and a Russian businessman.
The situation escalated after Karapetyan spoke out in defense of the Armenian Apostolic Church.
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan commented on the events on social media: “This is not the village of Nizhniy Tapr in Kaluga for you, this is Armenia. I hope the taste of the state remains with you.”
The court has ordered a two-month pretrial detention for Samvel Karapetyan.
