The Prosecutor General's Office of Armenia has brought new charges against former President Robert Kocharyan and the former head of the Yerevan garrison, Yuri Khachaturov, APA reports.
Kocharyan and Khachaturov are accused of exceeding their official duties and causing serious consequences through negligence.
Note that the criminal case relates to the events of March 1, 2008. At that time, clashes occurred between security forces and the opposition in Yerevan. As a result, 10 people were killed, and hundreds were injured.
