"I believe that the agreement signed in Washington will provide significant benefits for Iran and Russia," the Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, said in an interview with Fox News, APA reports.
He noted that once the document is implemented, Iran will gain access by rail from the Gulf to the Black Sea, and a direct railway connection between Russia and Iran will become possible: "Currently, there is no railway line connecting Iran with Russia through the South Caucasus. According to the statement, the project will create important and practically unprecedented economic opportunities not only for Armenia, Azerbaijan, the USA, and Türkiye, but also for Russia and Iran. This will also contribute to international stability and security."
