Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has announced that he is learning Russian, Sputnik Armenia reports.
Speaking at a briefing, Pashinyan said he is currently attending a Russian language course at Armenia's Academy of Public Administration.
"I am currently taking a Russian language course at the Academy. Someone else may study Japanese, Spanish, Chinese, or German," Pashinyan said.
The Prime Minister noted that people working in public administration should not limit themselves to English and should learn foreign languages.
Pashinyan made the remarks amid discussions on raising foreign language proficiency requirements for public administration employees.
