In 2020-21, Ktrich Nersisyan (Garegin II) called for the resignation of the government, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan wrote on Telegram, APA reports.
According to him, "after this, the people expressed a vote of confidence in the ruling team in the early parliamentary elections, which the international community assessed as free, democratic, and competitive."
Pashinyan emphasized that this was also an indicator of citizens' distrust of those who occupied the Patriarchate.
The Prime Minister noted that in June 2025, the cathedral bells were rung, calling on the people to gather. However, the number of clergy and citizens did not exceed 1,500 people.
"Another evidence that Ktrich Nersisyan immediately vacated the Catholicos' residence. There is no other way!", Pashinyan mentioned.
