The Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court (ICC) has nothing to with the processes concerning the Russian Federation, Minister of Justice of Armenia Grigor Minasyan said, APA reports citing Sputnik Armenia.
According to him, Armenia started the process of joining it a few months before the decisions taken against the Russian leader.
"Regarding the International Criminal Court's arrest warrant for Vladimir Putin, this is already a political issue. In the context of the adoption of the Rome Statute, Yerevan's goal is to use international judicial mechanisms against war crimes committed on the territory of Armenia," the Armenian minister added.
