"Our main goal is not the suspension of the broadcasting of Russian TV channels, but for official Moscow to comply with its obligations," Armenian Minister of High-Tech Industry Mkhitar Hayrapetyan said, APA reports citing Armenian media.

He stated that Russia must accept the proposals regarding agreement on cooperation in the field of mass communications.

"Of course, if this does not happen, the the broadcasting of Russian television channels will be suspended. Additionally, other sanctioning measures are also considered to be taken. Our concerns are not without reason. Because it has been observed that the TV channels of the mentioned country to have repeatedly broadcast programs against the spirit of cooperation. The main issue that creates differences of opinions in talks with Russian side was whether not allowing such anti-Armenian speeches is against the freedom of speech. The main issue that creates differences of opinions is precisely this."
