Former Defense Minister of Republic of Armenia Arshak Karapetyan was not brought to the police of the Russian Federation, but was invited for an interview based on documents received by the law enforcement bodies of the Republic of Armenia, APA reports citing "Hayeli" press club.
"A short time later, Arshak Karapetyan turned himself in to the police. According to his impression, the criminal cases opened against him in Armenia by Russian law enforcement officers caused surprise and laughter."

Former Armenian Defense Minister Arshak Karapetyan was detained in Moscow, APA reports citing Russian media.
It is specified that Karapetyan was detained on the afternoon of December 30 on Tverskaya Street.
In Armenia, he is wanted under three articles of the local Criminal Code: "Illegal participation in business activities," "Abuse of official authority," and "Abuse of power."
