By a court decision in Armenia, $1.6 million will be confiscated in favor of the state from three senior officials who worked at the State Revenue Committee during Robert Kocharyan’s presidency, APA reports, citing the Armenian Prosecutor General’s Office.
According to the statement, the amount will be confiscated as illegally obtained assets under a court ruling.
The Prosecutor General’s Office noted that the court decision has already entered into legal force. The ruling is part of a large-scale effort aimed at recovering funds illegally obtained by former officials.
