Armenia-Türkiye joint working group holds second meeting on Ani bridge restoration in Yerevan

On August 4, 2026, the second meeting of the Armenia-Türkiye joint working group on the reconstruction of the historic Ani bridge took place in Yerevan, Armenpress reports.

At the meeting, the Parties emphasized the importance of signing of the Protocol on the joint reconstruction of the historic Ani bridge on May 4, 2026 in Yerevan.

The Parties agreed to continue efforts toward the earliest implementation of the signed Protocol.

Note that the protocol on the restoration of the Ani Bridge was signed on May 4, 2026, on the sidelines of the European Political Community Summit held in Yerevan by the special representatives for the normalization of relations between Armenia and Türkiye, Ruben Rubinyan and Serdar Kılıç.
