As a result of the operational search measures of the National Security Service of Armenia, an attempt to seize power in the country by force was prevented, the Investigative Committee of Armenia released information in this regard, APA reports citing Armenian press.
Reported from the institution that a total of 7 criminal groups, including two people who came to Armenia from Garabagh as part of investigative measures, prepared a plan to overthrow the government in the country by force of arms: "During the investigations, it was determined that for the execution of that illegal act, each of these persons was paid 220,000 rubles per month for 90 days, and it was agreed that they should undergo training in the territory of Russia, and after returning to Armenia, the knowledge and skills gained during the training should be distributed among certain persons in this country. After some time, they came to the city of Rostov-Don, Russia, and were involved in training at the "Arbat" military base here, where they learned the secrets of using various weapons and military equipment."
The investigation also determined that some of those persons later refused to carry out the task of coup d'état in Armenia, and three persons were arrested during a special operation of law enforcement agencies.
The committee also revealed that a search was announced for 4 people.
