Armenia seeks another EU military assistance package

Armenia has applied to the European Union to receive a third “non-lethal” military assistance package under the European Peace Facility, Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan announced this in parliament, Armenian media stated, APA reports.

He noted that the previous assistance package worth 20 million euros was approved in January 2026, while the first such aid of 10 million euros was allocated to Armenia in July 2024.

The purpose of the assistance packages provided so far has been to strengthen Armenia’s defense capabilities, including logistics and medical equipment, as well as necessary technical training.

It should be noted that the European Peace Facility was established in 2021 to help prevent conflicts worldwide and provide non-lethal military assistance to countries in need.
