Armenia intends to continue deepening its strategic partnership with the European Union and will continue implementing the law on initial accession to the EU, it is stated in the government's draft program for 2026-2031, APA reports.
"Sectoral development and integration of strategic cooperation with the EU will be continued towards the full and effective implementation of the Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement, as well as bringing Armenia into line with European Union standards in the areas of democracy, the rule of law, economics, finance, the environment, social protection, and other areas, based on the 2025 Law on the Commencement of the Republic of Armenia's Membership in the European Union," states the draft document, published on the Cabinet's website and included in the agenda of Thursday's government meeting.
It is also planned to complete the action plan for visa liberalization with the aim of abolishing visas for Armenian citizens entering the EU.
