Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said that his administration does not seek the closure of the Russian military base located in Gyumri, Armenia, APA reports, citing Armenpress.
During a meeting with diplomats and analysts at the Polish Institute of International Affairs, a Warsaw-based think tank, during his official visit to Poland, a member of the audience asked the Armenian Prime Minister whether he planned to request Russia to close the base in Gyumri.
“We have no plans or concerns regarding the presence of the Russian military base. We are close partners with Russia and maintain strong economic and political ties,” the Prime Minister of Armenia elaborated.
