The Prosecutor General’s Office of Armenia is demanding the confiscation of real estate and financial assets belonging to MP Artur Sarkisyan, APA reports, citing Armenian media.

The Anti-Corruption Court has accepted for proceedings the latest petition from the Prosecutor General’s Office regarding the confiscation of property of illegal origin.

The Prosecutor General’s Office is seeking the confiscation of properties belonging to Member of Parliament Artur Sarkisyan and individuals connected to him in favor of the Republic of Armenia.

In Yerevan 6 units of real estate;

2 units of movable property;

Approximately 2 million drams as the remaining part of the illegal funds.

Note that Artur Sarkisyan, a MP of the “Hayastan” faction, has been arrested for a period of two months. He is accused of "preparing terrorist acts to overthrow the constitutional order."

Recall that the Armenian parliament has stripped Artur Sarkisyan of parliamentary immunity. He will be subject to criminal prosecution within the case in which the former mayor of Sisian (Garakilisa), Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan, has been arrested. The archbishop is accused of “attempting to seize power by force and preparing a terrorist act.”
