9 newborn babies die in Novokuznetsk, Russia

Terrible cases had previously occurred in the Novokuznetsk maternity hospital, where nine babies died, APA reports, citing Izvestia.

According to the patients, one of the babies had his arm torn off during childbirth, another baby had his collarbone broken in 2024, accusing his mother of not being able to give birth.

"Doctors are as indifferent as possible to the condition of patients and their little babies; it is a pity that so many heartless people work in hospitals," one of the women writes.

On the same day, it became known that the obstetric hospital No. 1 of the city clinical hospital No. 1, named after G.P. Kurbatov in Novokuznetsk, temporarily stopped receiving patients. It was clarified that this decision was made in connection with the excess incidence of respiratory infection.

Later, it was reported about the death of nine babies in a maternity hospital in Novokuznetsk. The Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation conducted an investigation into the incident under Article 293 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Negligence").

The Minister of Health of Kuzbass, Andrei Tarasov, confirmed the deaths of infants in a maternity hospital in Novokuznetsk. According to the Minister, a commission from the Ministry of Health was sent to assess what had happened and prevent such a situation.
