In 2025, 30 servicemen of the Armenian army died, said Defense Minister Suren Papikyan at a press conference held today, APA reports, citing Armenian media.
According to the minister, 24 of them died due to reasons unrelated to military service, and 6 died in connection with service.
The causes of death include lightning strikes, electric shock, suicide, and health problems.
“No cases of murder in personal relationships have been recorded,” Papikyan noted.
Papikyan also commented on the army’s participation in political processes, dismissing any such involvement.
