Two people were killed and 11 injured in an explosion at a cafe in the Karaganda region of Kazakhstan, APA reports.
A gas cylinder exploded in a cafe in the Shetsky district, causing a fire and the roof and ceiling to collapse over an area of approximately 200 square meters.
The injured were taken to a regional hospital and provided with medical assistance.
The fire was extinguished by fire brigades and an investigation is underway at the scene.
According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the initial cause of the fire is a violation of safety regulations during the operation of gas supply systems and household gas cylinders.
