Former Director General of the Development Fund Igor Chudinov arrested in Kyrgyzstan
Note, Igor Chudinov - the sixteenth in a row prime minister of Kyrgyzstan, appointed to this post in December 2007 and worked until October of 2009. He proved able to keep the domestic economy in the midst of the global financial crisis from collapse.
The Development Fund of the Kyrgyz Republic, which he headed, had intended to obtain, 12.4 percent growth of real investment in 2010. However, the April events put an end to his work. Lack of investment flows are one of the major challenges of the new authorities.
Earlier, Attorney General’s Office reported the initiation of a number of criminal cases against the leadership of the DF of the KR. Among other things he is charged with abuse of power, misuse of government credit.
Meanwhile, GSNB emphasize that Igor Chudinov voluntarily went to the investigative authorities.
It should be noted that the interim government now uses the principles of the Development Fund as well as its economic and micro projects as an effective and justified.
