Azerbaijani Parliament holds press conference on ending spring session

Ms.Muradova stated that 14 meetings were held within the spring session of Azerbaijani Parliament from February 1 till May 31, 130 laws and decisions were adopted, 55 international agreements and conventions have been ratified, one constitutional law has been amended. Two meetings were held within extraordinary session (June 5-16), 39 laws have been adopted.
â€œAzerbaijani President presented the majority of the laws, Azerbaijani Parliament the part of them. 295 drafts have been sent to the Parliament and they have been adopted after being examined. The investigations show that Parliamentâ€™s Office and standing commissions of the Parliament have efficiently operated within spring session and extraordinary session. Standing commissions held 114 meetings, 279 drafts and 112 draft bills have been examined, she said.
Ms.Muradova said that adoption of amnesty on the initiative of parliamentarian Mehriban Aliyeva was an event. She said that assistants have been appointed to 98 parliamentarians for efficiently organizing their activity.
â€œParliamentâ€™s international relations have been expanded within this period. 2,639 applications and complaints have entered the Parliament. Part of these appeals has been sent to proper bodies for examination. 107 mass media sent appeal to Parliament, 78 of them have been accredited,â€ she said. /APA/
