Azerbaijan’s parliament approves agreement on Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway

Today 15 issues have been submitted for approval at the sitting of Azerbaijani parliament, APA reports.
The sitting covered discussions on “Approval of 2007-2009 cooperation program between Azerbaijan and Russia in humanitarian field”.
Member of Musavat party Nasib Nasibeyli said Russia is the creator of Nagorno Karabakh problem, and he will vote against the cooperation with this state. As for him, Azerbaijan can not learn anything from Russia.
MP Yagub Mammadov said that there is need for relations between the two countries. According to the parliamentarian, the books for Russian speaking schools should be brought from Russian and published in Azerbaijan. After the discussion the document was approved.
Some other agreements as agreement on Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway, law on non-state security function were discussed and approved. /APA/
