Rabiyet Aslanova, chief of parliament’s standing commission for human rights gave information about the document. She said that the bill envisages state care for the organization. The main debatable problems were connected with the name of the organization. Most of the parliamentarians wanted the society to be called Red Crescent.
Chief of Red Crescent Society, MP Novruzeli Aslanov also spoke about the issue. He wanted the society to be called Red Crescent. He said that the society was established in 1920 under the name of Red Crescent and operates in all Turkish-speaking countries under this name. The bill was approved after first reading.
There were some amendments to the law on lawyer and lawyers’ activity. Ali Huseynov, chief of parliament’s standing commission for legal policy and sate building said that the amendment envisages establishing Bar Association in Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. The document was approved after debates.
Tbilisi resolution on “General review on regional cooperation”, agreements and joint statements signed with France, Russia, Argentine, Lithuania, Jordan, Switzerland, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates were also adopted today.
The parliament made amendments to the laws on “Constitutional Court”. “Court-Law council” and “Broadcasting of public TV and Radio”. /APA/
