Former President of the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) Horacio Muratore has died at the age of 74. The organization's press service announced this, APA reports.
The cause of death of the Argentine official has not been disclosed.
Muratore served as FIBA President from 2014 to 2019. He also headed the Argentine Basketball Confederation (1992-2006) and the Americas Basketball Confederation (1993-2006). Over the years, he held the positions of Second Vice President (1994-2006), Vice President (2006-2009), and President (2009-2014) of FIBA for the Americas Region. From 2009 to 2014, he was FIBA Vice President.
