Azerbaijan to host Women's European Volleyball Championship

Azerbaijan will host the Women's European Volleyball Championship (CEV EuroVolley Women), APA reports.

Note that 9 years after EURO-2017, which was held together with Georgia, Azerbaijan earned this right again.

Azerbaijan will host one of the 4 groups. As in 2017, the matches will be organized again at the National Gymnastics Arena.

Recall that Azerbaijan was one of the four strongest teams in Europe in that competition where Serbia was the champion.

A total of 24 of Europe's best teams will participate in the tournament scheduled for the end of the summer of 2026. Six of these teams will compete in Baku. Along with Azerbaijan, the Czech Republic and Sweden have already been confirmed to co-host EURO-2026.
