In Gibraltar, the first group match of the European Championship Division C for under-16 girls took place, Apasport.az reports.
Azerbaijani girls began the European Championship by defeating the Armenian team decisively.
The basketball players started the game quickly and handed the Armenian team a heavy 86-59 defeat. The most productive player of the match was Azerbaijani national team's member Angelina Ismayilova, who scored 26 points and grabbed 6 rebounds.
Note that the Azerbaijani team's next group match will be against the Georgian team on July 10 at 12:30 PM Baku time.
