Khinalig village included into list of World Monuments Fund’s controlled monuments

Azerbaijani Khinalig village has been included to the list of World Monuments Fund, APA reports.
100 monuments in the world which are mostly under threat have been included to this list. The organization says the main threat in Khinalig is in economical development temp.
“The construction of way between Khinalig and Guba changed the nature of this village. The village which was isolated before, is turned to the proper place for tourists and commercial activity at present. Though it is the profit source for village residents, there is anxious about the disturbance of the uncial character of Khinalig,†it says.
World Monuments Fund hopes that Khinalig village’s being included to the list will expand the foreign relations of the village in the term of preserving its originality. /APA/
