A meeting between US President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un is not planned as part of the American leader's upcoming Asian tour, APA reports, citing Reuters.
The US president is scheduled to depart for a trip abroad in the coming hours. White House Press Secretary Caroline Leavitt announced on Thursday that Trump will visit Malaysia, Japan, and the Republic of Korea. He will attend not only bilateral talks but also ASEAN and APEC events. Talks between Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping are scheduled for October 30 in South Korea.
According to Reuters, Trump is expected to sign several economic agreements during his tour, primarily affecting trade and the extraction of critical minerals.
