Turkish national flag was burned during a march in Yerevan marking the anniversary of the so-called "Armenian genocide", APA reports.

According to Armenian media, the country's Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan condemned the incident.

The burning of the flag by marchers has also sparked widespread discussion on social media.

According to the Prime Minister's press secretary Nazeli Baghdasaryan, Pashinyan considers this step irresponsible and unacceptable.

"The burning of the flag of an internationally recognized state, especially a neighboring country, cannot be assessed differently by the head of state. This is clearly provocative behavior aimed at increasing tension," Baghdasaryan emphasized, voicing Pashinyan's position.
