South Korean President Lee Jae Myung on his X account said that further measures would be taken if Ukraine does not acknowledge the existence of a confidentiality agreement over the transfer of two North Korean prisoners of war and does not apologize, APA reports.
“If the refusal to acknowledge the facts and openly apologize continues, we will take further measures,” Lee Jae Myung wrote.
The issue concerns two North Korean servicemen who were captured while fighting on Russia’s side and later transferred by Ukraine to South Korea.
Seoul says Kyiv violated a confidentiality agreement concerning the transfer, while Ukraine denies that such an agreement existed.
