Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said Iran was developing alternative economic routes and expanding trade with neighboring countries to bypass sanctions as restrictions on oil sales reduced its access to foreign currency, APA reports citing Iran International.

“Sanctions are a reality. If we cannot sell oil, we will have less foreign currency, and this will create problems. We must find a way to reduce these problems more and more,” Pezeshkian said.

“We are naturally designing various routes with our neighbors, expanding our trade with them and increasing our exchanges,” he said.

“Our relations with our neighbors are much better than in the past. The neighboring countries’ cooperation with us is very good,” he added.
