There is information that US refueling aircraft have left Bulgaria, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei stated during a press conference, APA’s Tehran bureau reports.
He said there was information confirming that several aircraft had left Bulgarian territory.
Baghaei noted that, as many Bulgarian citizens and politicians have also acknowledged, the deployment of these aircraft on Bulgarian territory for attacks against Iran is contrary to international law and is regarded as support for US and Israeli military operations against Iran.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson said that under international law, Iran has the legitimate right to target the point of origin and source of any act of aggression.
Baghaei also commented on the possibility of the war ending.
According to him, Iran did not start any war and has only defended its sovereignty and territorial integrity.
“Therefore, the aggressor must be held responsible for its actions,” Baghaei stressed.
He also emphasized that Tehran would not back down in the face of pressure.
