Airstrike hits Iran’s Isfahan Mobarakeh Steel Complex, causing major damage

Several points of the Isfahan Mobarakeh Steel Complex were targeted as a result of an airstrike that took place last night, APA’s Tehran bureau reports, citing the complex’s public relations department.

It was noted that, according to preliminary assessments, production-related units were seriously damaged.

“Due to the timing of the attack and the circumstances, the exact scale of the damage is not yet known, but assessments conducted so far indicate the large scale of the attacks, the damage inflicted, and the serious destruction of production-related units. Thanks to prior measures, the number of employees at the complex had been minimized, and after the attack, only a limited number of workers were referred to medical centers and were discharged after receiving minor treatment,” the statement said.

It should be noted that the facility is the largest steel production complex in Iran and the Middle East.
