People’s Artist and holder of the Shohrat Order, actress Shukufa Yusupova, has been seriously injured in a road accident, Yusupova’s nephew told APA.
According to the information, she was hit by a car yesterday while crossing a pedestrian crossing near the Icherisheher metro station.
As a result of the accident, she suffered fractures to her ribs and pelvis, as well as an injury to her gallbladder.
Yusupova was admitted to the Emergency Department of the Clinical Medical Center at around 18:44 yesterday.
Ruzbeh Mammad, head of the Clinical Medical Center’s Press Service, told APA that she was immediately provided with necessary medical care and underwent examinations.
She was diagnosed with pelvic and rib fractures. Her condition is currently assessed as serious, and she remains under treatment in the intensive care unit.
