The purpose is to prevent transfer of weapon and entering of armed persons the territory of Ukraine, U.S. State Department official Victoria Nuland said at the briefing in Washington, APA reports.
She said that G7 states also call on the Russian president to cooperate with Ukraine in such a difficult condition.
As for the intentions of Russia regarding the resolution of the crisis in Ukraine, Nuland noted that it will be apparent from the steps to be taken by Moscow.
“We will appreciate real steps”, she stressed.
