The shootings led to the death of a boy and a girl and wounded a woman and another boy, who were taken to a hospital in critical condition.
State police arrived at the scene after receiving calls from family members about multiple shootings in the home on Holly Park Drive on Thursday morning.
All of the victims were related and all of them were shot inside the same bedroom, investigators reported.
Police have not released the names or ages of the victims nor given any reasons why the shootings occurred.
"We are not getting into reasons why right now," Capt. Stephen Jones said.
"It's an active scene," Trooper Alina Spies said. "We have a lot of troopers out there investigating, trying to process everything."
According to neighbors, two sets of parents along with their children live in the home and one of the couples had recently moved in.
Neighbors also said they did not know the families and had never heard any commotion.
Every year, thousands of Americans lose their lives to the escalating gun violence in the country.
The US averages 87 gun deaths each day as a result of gun violence, with an average of 183 injured, according to the University of Chicago Crime Lab and the Centers for Disease Control.
