Saudi Arabia urged Russia to abandon his support for President Bashar al-Assad of Syria.
The newspaper said Saudi officials have offered their Russian counterparts a secret deal, promising to affect oil prices if Moscow abandons its support to Bashar Assad.
It is especially emphasized that the Syrian crisis was to the top issue that was discussed during the Saudi delegation’s visit to Moscow in 2014.
Sources said the talks did not bring forth any results, but didn’t rule out the possibility of King Salman bin Abdulaziz’s further efforts in this regard.
